According to genealogy reports, the name Cansler was once spelled and pronounced Gantzler and hails originally from Germany. It meant goat keeper. Through the years the various generations have changed the spelling and added their own flavor. Each one of us has the opportunity to make our name honorable. Great wealth doesn't give credibility to a name. Power doesn't inspire others to want to listen when they hear our name. It takes character, compassion, truthfulness, and dealing with others honorably. Look at the picture in the header above. The stand of trees above the M is our property "on the ridge." We hope to someday build our home there. The property has a view of several mountains including English Mountain. |
